James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act of 2010
The James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act of 2010 was signed into law by President Barak Obama. Title I of the Zadroga Act established the World Trade Center Health Program (WTCHP) to provide medical monitoring and treatment to first responders and other qualifying workers who were at the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack sites in New York City, at the Pentagon and the Shanksville, Pennsylvania crash site. It also established benefits for qualifying individuals who were engulfed in the toxic dust cloud on September 11, 2001 as well as for all survivors (those who attended school, childcare, adult daycare, resided or worked) in the New York City Disaster Area.
