World Trade Center Health Program
The World Trade Center Health Program (WTCHP) is a federal health program that is part of the Centers for Disease Control and is authorized through 2090. The Program is set up to serve WTC first responders and survivors. The program provides free medical monitoring and treatment for certified WTC-related health issues directly linked to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York, the Pentagon and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
A WTCHP certified illness is decided by the Program when it considers that the illness or condition is a result of 9/11 exposure.
