Kreindler investigating Fatal Crash of Cirrus SR22 Private Airplane Near Wright Brothers National Memorial's First Flight Airport in North Carolina's Outer Banks

Kreindler is investigating the crash of a Cirrus SR22 airplane near the Wright Brothers National Memorial’s First Flight Airport in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina’s Outer Banks.
What Happened
On Saturday, September 28, 2024, a Cirrus SR22 G6 private plane crashed in a wooded area as it approached Kill Devil Hills First Flight Airport in North Carolina, killing all five passengers onboard.
The fixed-wing single-engine airplane was built in 2023 and was registered to Pantheon Aviation LLC in Franklin, North Carolina. The Cirrus SR22 private plane was making a second landing attempt when it impacted trees on the left side of the runway. Five people were killed in the accident. The NTSB is investigating, and it is too soon to determine whether design or mechanical problems contributed to the crash. Tragically five people lost their lives.
The Cirrus SR22 is a single-engine airplane built by Cirrus Aircraft in Duluth, Minnesota. Continental Motors built its reciprocating engine. Kreindler has successfully represented victims of many Cirrus accidents, including cases that involved design, maintenance, and piloting issues.

Preliminary Investigation
Investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) arrived on Sunday afternoon. They will consider factors such as the airplane’s condition, weather and environmental conditions and the pilot’s qualification. According a news report in The Virginian-Pilot, the the preliminary report could be ready within 10 days, the full investigation could take 9 months to a year.
