Kreindler Represents Passengers Injured Aboard Crown Princess
Princess Cruise Lines’ Crown Princess cruise ship experienced an unexpected 16 - 18 degree tilt after departing Port Canaveral during the last leg of a nine-day trip to the Caribbean. Fourteen people were seriously injured in the accident as passengers and objects were jostled about. The Crown Princess returned to Port Canaveral following the incident.
It was reported that the seas were calm with no rogue wave present or foul play at hand that could have contributed to the roll.
Kreindler attorney Gretchen Nelson is representing 21 of the injured passengers. Nelson is awaiting the NTSB report for more details regarding the cause.
We have ordered the full docket from the NTSB. I anticipate there will be more information on the cause of the accident.
There were 4,300 aboard the 113,000-ton cruise ship, including 1,200 crew members. Fears that the ship would tip over were shared by terrified passengers and crew aboard the ship. All passengers and crew were accounted for.
